Low-Cost Sensor Network for Flood Early-Warning

Research Hardware Flood Modeling
Designed and field-tested a low-cost water-level sensor built from off-the-shelf ultrasonic modules and solar-charged batteries, intended for villages that currently have zero flood monitoring infrastructure. Deployed 6 prototype units along a tributary of the Ayeyarwady as part of the flood modeling lab's fieldwork; the resulting water-level data now feeds into the lab's HEC-RAS models.
